Newton native Jon Fisch doesn’t have any comic gimmicks. No props, no politics, no nerdy stereotypes. What you get with Fisch is just flat-out funny. Great writing, an easy sense of himself onstage, and the ability to walk into any comedy club and make people laugh, sometimes til it hurts. It’s what got him into the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, on Comedy Central, and Last Comic Standing.

When did you develop an interest in comedy?
We didn’t have classes the last month of my senior year of high school, so my friends and I would end up at my parents’ house watching all of the comedy specials that were on like Dennis Wolfburg, Seinfeld, and Roseanne. Jon’s appearances on Last Comic Standing 4, where he was the New York City Capital One Audience Favorite, gained him wide recognition and a new legion of fans. He has also been seen on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, was invited to perform at the 2007 HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, and is a host of 3 Men and a Chick Flick this season on the WE network.
